The other day I found these extra cute solid wood children’s
rocking chairs in my daughter’s garage… neglected, forgotten or maybe just waiting
for me all along?
My daughter told me she got them at a yard sale, from a man
that had them since he was a kid himself over 40 or so years ago. I just knew
I couldn’t leave them as they were, could I? So here they are now after I painted them ;)
Little Pebbles’ room is decorated in pink, so she gets to
have the pink one, and little Lizzy’s room is decorated in lavender, so she
gets the lavender… they just love them!
Oh wondrous, glorious little loves of my heart! They’re so smart, funny, loving… I marvel I hug them I
kiss them I dance and made songs in my heart with their names.
I love them so...!
And they love their little rocking chairs!!
They’re wearing their momma’s little dresses of when she was
a baby.
I stopped by the house in the roses today… it feels like a little worn-down, a little sad, a new spirit owns the gardens for sure, but maybe it’s really more a feeling than an objective statement? As this is still winter anyway and I don’t think the gardens could have looked any better then than now… or did it? Sad. It looked sad. I’ll post some photos soon.

ReplyDeleteI love seeing little girls, looking like little girls. simply love it.
I did so with my daughter. and with the "grand", for whom I did free-day-care "for forever". ,-)
enjoy your time with them. drink it in and store it in your heart.
gentle hugs, Tessa~
"Free day care for forever"... bet your daughter was more than grateful and blessed for all that love... so much we do as parents and grandparents... but all worth it...
DeleteSo nice seeing you again Tessa! Blessings from afar and hugs a plenty.

Dios mio Cielo, esas ninas son hermosas. Que angelitos. Es que parecen princesas. I love the photos Cielo. They truly belong in a magazine. And the chairs turned out so beautiful. Perfect for those gorgeous little angels. You must have great fun dressing them up. I miss you sweet friend.

The chairs look brand new. Perfect for the pretty little grands. They look so sweet in their dresses.
ReplyDeleteThey turned out really pretty me thinks! ;) Oh and have we gotten any more snow there? Hope not... hoping for sunshine and that lovely warmth of the south again....
DeleteSee you soon

Oh- I love the little chairs but what I love even more is the little dolls that adorn them. They are beautiful little girls- like you (only different hair color)...lol
ReplyDeleteThat is sad about The House In The Roses. There is one house of ours that we sold that I just can't bear to go by anymore because of how they have neglected the house...and it is in the historical section and always looked "proud"....no more....xo Diana
Athens chairs are precious, and the fairy grand babies are too cute for words. They will love this time together... And you also, of course! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThose chairs. I must start proofreading! Sorry.
