“It was a shore that knew the magic and mystery
of storm and star. There is a great solitude about such a shore"...
"The woods are human, but the sea is of the company of the
archangels..."
The sea... it is always yearning, sighing for something it cannot have...
Do you belong to the sea?
We had such a wonderful unforgettable amazing time... sweet company, awesome buffets, amazing
service, extraordinarily serviceable people from all over the world, awesome
programs, dancing to reggae music, learning how to cha-cha, miraculous sunrises
and sunsets, perfect beaches, crazy hair braids, huge iguanas, ancient Mayan ruins,
lunch at the beach, formal dining, dress up nights, Cozumel, Mexico, Belize
City, Roatan, Honduras, Kriol, Mestizo, Garifuna and Maya influences... dear
husband, dear children, my sweet, precious darling light of my heart girlies,
all of us together, what more could one ask for? My heart is full... full of gratitude and
thankfulness and so so thankful to be back at our darling little white cottage,
where fall has beginning to gently settle in, and where roses are fading away
in sweet amalgamations of subdued beautiful colors... trees acquiring gentle
hues as the woods whisper a new hushed song... I love it all, and I'm so in love with life
and with my surroundings and to be able to enjoy everything at every moment of
day... what a blessing this is.
Thank you to all of you my dear readers who inquired about our safety at sea, and who missed me here as much as I have missed you! Love you all!
So glad you had a wonderful experience on your cruise. I love the way you describe the ocean. The magic in the realm of water is so different than that of the earth. There is almost a heaviness of the unseen below the surface that calls to you in its serenity. Of the four aspects of nature I am drawn to the water and earth. Welcome home.

Yes, the sea is a mysterious powerful thing... but not for me ;). My heart had been captivated long ago. I am a girl of the woods.

Good to hear from you. How wonderful to spend that time with family. I loved the moon picture at sea. Did you see the eclipse? I love the regular moon more. What was your favorite port? Did you buy treasures? Did you have a window or balcony? Oh. I'm so full of questions, eh?
ReplyDeleteOh was there an eclipse? Didn't get to see it. My favorite port was Cozumel, Mexico. Humble people that always try to please you. I made a friend, Elsa, the owner of one of the little shops on the Mayan ruins....

ReplyDeleteWelcome back to your little white cottage. It's always wonderful to go away but there's no place like home.
I so agree... nothing like home, indeed!
