It always amazes me how things in
nature can change so quickly from one day to the next. The northern winds had brought in the rains during
the night hours upon us, and this morning I woke up to a world already in autumnal
delightfulness full swing...
A shower of russet color leaves
mingling with raindrops...
and beyond the garden, voice the woods enthralling chants...
I am happy that last evening we were
finally able to take down the summer awning that shaded our vision from the
woods behind the garden for way too long.
Now, opening the panorama to the most exquisite view...
Of raindrop kissed trees and
giant leaves....
Of shadows embracing sunshine in
the afternoons....
And mischievous cherubs guarding the entrance to the woods
and
autumn witches...
Oh can you see her
can you see her not?
and ghostly figures reflected on old mirrors...
and strange birds from far away lands...
As you can tell, I live in an enchanted forest... and I'm
not kidding when I say this. The
Cherokee people, who once populated this area called this region "the
enchanted land". Oh I know it is true,
and I cannot love it any more...
I have so many stories to share with you, I hope you won't
mind coming back and listening. I guess that autumn does that to
your mind... I mean, add a little magic and imagination to your days. What can one do? Just embrace it I guess...
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.
Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And
contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You
see?” Lewis Carroll
Yes...I enjoy your stories. I will be waiting and listening.
