Of winter and life...

Blue winter light..

The bluish tinted morning light
coming through the dinning room windows
tells the story outside...

Everything look and sound unreal.
Nothing is what it is.

And too cold for even angels to fly...
Winter storm warning cold... like in the 16's - 17's in the early morning

Halfway down the path you can’t see this house. You’d never know it was here. Or any of the other places down the hill...

I go about the house in my comfy pjs turning on all the little lights I can find...

The flickering lamp of the will-o'-the-wisp
twinkling on indoor plants

Imitating the atmospheric ghost lights seen in the gray fog outside...

Breakfast time equals enchantment, and special moments

"Up at dawn, the dewy freshness of the hour, the morning rapture of the birds, the daily miracle of sunrise, set her heart in tune, and gave her Nature's most healing balm." ~Louisa May Alcott.

Then out of thin air, I see him materialized...
Oh over there, see him there?
at the end of the garden!

My heart skips a bit as he approaches the window looking for me,
(so I want to believe...)

Ah yes, "Winter" the cat, has return to the garden after that terrible fight
...back in its own renewed precious glory!

I follow his shadow as he wanders the garden,
believing he's trying to tell me something.

And perhaps he has...

“If someone is strong enough to bring you down,
show them you are strong enough to get back up.” – (Unknown)

Don't give up...
accept what it was,
let go of the past
and move on!

  1. Cielo, this post gave me goosebumps both metaphorical and physical. Just stunning. Love, Mimi xxx

  2. How cozy and inviting your little cottage looks inside Cielo, even though outside it's all wrapped in misty fog and mysteriousness. It reminded me a little bit of that film "The Others" where their house was perpetually enveloped in a very similar eery mist that formed an unbreachable barrier. That cappucino looks delicious...and are those tortillas with melted cheese inside? Yum

    1. Oh how romantic and lovely the description sounds... and the cappuccino, once or twice on a wintry day... can't live without it... oh and yes, tortillas with melted mozzarella cheese! Deliciousness at breakfast.
