coming through the dinning room windows

Winter storm warning cold... like in the 16's - 17's in the early morning
Halfway down the path you can’t see this house. You’d never
know it was here. Or any of the other places down the hill...
I go about the house in my comfy pjs turning on all
the little lights I can find...
The flickering lamp of the will-o'-the-wisp
twinkling on indoor plants
Imitating the atmospheric ghost lights seen in the gray fog outside...
Breakfast time equals enchantment, and special moments

Then out of thin air, I see him materialized...

My heart skips a bit as he approaches the window looking for me,
(so I want to believe...)
Ah yes, "Winter" the cat, has return to the garden after that terrible fight
...
...back in its own renewed precious glory!
I follow his shadow as he wanders the garden,
believing he's trying to tell me something.

ReplyDeleteHow cozy and inviting your little cottage looks inside Cielo, even though outside it's all wrapped in misty fog and mysteriousness. It reminded me a little bit of that film "The Others" where their house was perpetually enveloped in a very similar eery mist that formed an unbreachable barrier. That cappucino looks delicious...and are those tortillas with melted cheese inside? Yum
