If we were to be named on a flower's quality or name, I'm
sure I'll be an "Impatiens". I
am! I am an impatient little soul who
cannot accept the natural course of seasons!
But as it is, we're under another significant cold snap and bound for
another month wetter than usual...
And I guess I can say that I'm running ahead of Nature too,
because last week we had two gorgeous sunny days in a road and I was out there
working long, and delicious hours in the garden; almost done now with all the
spring cleaning there is to be done, and the garden is already looking
marvelous just as is with all the hopes it promises.
Right before winter I scout out a cheap set of chairs at a thrift store for $5.00. They had seen better days, but I saw potential in them. They had been sitting in our garage all throughout the winter, but on those warmer days we had last week I was finally able to tackled down the project I had on mind....
Ready to turn these babies from drab to fab?
The day I found the chairs I also found this little dress for
$2.99. I fell in love with it, and
brought it home.
So pretty! And it match so well with my home decor! ;)
The lady standing
behind me at the register that day felt in love with the dress too and commented on it. When I told her the dress wasn't for me, but
for the chairs I was buying, she couldn't believe it... She begged me to bring some pictures of my finished project to the
store for everyone to see when I was done... Wish she could see my chairs wearing that little
dress now! ;)
Happy happy!
They look so pretty in that room... only they don't belong there. As soon as the weather gets warmer they will be going outside to the front porch, but for now I will enjoy them here! Do you like?
See you soon!

The warm days have made things start blooming around here. We have started seeds for the garden. It rained a little this morning and there were snow flakes and sleet in the rain. I am ready for spring.

I like you headed into the yard when we had gorgeous weather last week and got busy, busy! Doesn't it feel good to have the spring cleaning almost done? Rained on Sunday and I was so happy that hubby got the fertilizer on. Enough about the garden. lol! Love the chairs and they are dressed to kill! So clever to nab that dress. It is perfect! amazing! I never thought to do something like that using material from a dress! The chairs are beautiful! Can you tell me what kind of paint you used on the chairs?
