This is where we dream...

Outside our little white cottage, thunder is a roaring giant that has just stepped down from his palace somewhere up in the sky... I hear him approaching and my heart leaps with joy... I am a chickadee fluffing up her feathers under the rain... I am a jolly creature of the rains...

Whilst my little white nest, bright and breeze, sits under a spell...

Cottage style

I want to tell these giant Thunder that I'm happy to see him again; happy to see him tread allover my garden, as it water it down to perfection and suppleness and lushness and welcoming wholesomeness....

Inside, my little shelter feels cozy and wonderfully clean... clean, because I spent a few hours this morning tidying it up just to see magic unfolding and making my little cottage feels just the way I like it to feel...

Fairy lights are turn on...

The scent of honeysuckle and lilacs wafting from the plug in fragrance wax warmer night light spread throughout the house is yet another treat for the senses....

Freshly cut roses from the gardens

Brought in just before the storm showed up...

 Turmeric smoothie for lunch today

Turmeric Smoothie
Serves: 1

Ingredients
1 cup almond milk
½ cup frozen pineapple or mango chunks
1 fresh banana
1 tablespoon coconut oil
½ - 1 teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon chia seeds

Instructions:

Add all ingredients into your Magic Bullet blender and process until smooth. Try to drink this smoothie in the morning before you have anything to eat. It’s a solid way to start your day and pack your body full of antioxidants.

Then, after the gentle giant who brought down the rains returned to his castle somewhere up the clouds, I went out to the garden...  to see what I could find there...

My little world outside is bathed in deep greens,
and the woods is a dark, mysterious world.

It's atmosphere possesses this memento of yesterday that clings to my soul... a feeling of days I've never lived, yet are deeply carved into my soul...

A dim tint of mystery and green days and fairytales untold...

Rain also raises up ghosts....  I hear them all the time singing quiet songs in the woods after the rains, or hear them weeping as the sun sets in the horizon later on.

Life in the woods, never at rest, flows through it....

There is a message stirring up in the breezes... written in the language of birds they say... It's beckoning.... summoning us to believe.  Should we dare?  Dare not?  Oh breath in the magic.... let your worries go... and for a moment or two, let joy fill your soul... embrace it, keep it, make it yours to stay.

Thank you for coming here my friends...

See you soon.... Cielo

  1. How wonderful that your roses are blooming Cielo, I'll be they were thankful for the May showers. Those white flowers in the second photo...if I am not mistaken those are known as "flor de Itabo" here in Costa Rica and people eat them here. They typically prepare them with scrambled eggs, of all things. I am going to have to try that interesting Turmeric smoothie. I would have never thought to put Turmeric in a milk shake, I've only ever used it in Paella. Saludos!
